Over 560,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango Vehicles Recalled
Fiat Chrysler has issued a recall, affecting 34,764 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango vehicles in Canada because of an electrical problem that can cause engines to stall.

Vehicles affected
This recall is specific to 2011-13 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, of which 34,764 are affected in Canada, plus another 528,594 vehicles in the United States.
What’s the problem?
The same issue affects both models, where the fuel pump relays contact points may have silicon deposits that could interrupt electrical current. When the current doesn’t flow properly, it can cause the engine to stall or fail to start up.
Fiat Chrysler hasn’t reported any accidents or injuries related to the defect.
What’s the fix?
The automaker says that relays may have already been replaced in a previous recall, and it’s not clear if those vehicles will be exempted from this one.
There is no information yet on how dealers will fix the problem, be it a similar process to the last time there was a recall, or a different repair. More details will come when vehicle owners are notified.
